I’ve collaborated with Nick Baum for many years, having been the original designer of GiftRocket. More recently, Nick, now founder of Tremendous, asked me to create an illustrated print as a wedding gift for his close friends, Kapil and Holly. Kapil also happens to be Nick’s co-founder at Tremendous.
Before settling on the final artwork, I explored a number of directions, from alternative colour treatments of the sailboat and bridge scene to playful illustrations featuring wine bottles, tennis rackets, hearts, and florals, all drawn from moments that featured in the wedding weekend. Each piece began as a hand-painted sketch, later scanned and refined, giving Nick a collection of options that reflected the spirit of the celebration.
